Programs aren't responding, websites are being incredibly slow to open as well as any applications.

I have ran Spybot search and I have I virus scan running. I don't know what else I can do, but it was never this slow.

I only have 465 songs or 2.09 GB in music, so I am not sure if that can be it either. My computer information says that I have 77.3% free space of memory left.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and go to Task Manager's Processes tab, click on CPU column tag twice to have the process taking most of the processor's time on top. Report to the bridge with a list of top four processes and their corresponding CPU numbers.

What does it mean to report to the bridge?

Would I lose everything I have on here?

Yes. Your computer will be fresh like the day you got it. This should be your last step unless you could care less if your current files get deleted.

Your probably running like shit load of non-important applications - fucken windows loves that shit.

For now...
Go to run >> type in msconfig>> click on the very last tab -"startup" >> click on disable all cept the one that has to do with Antivirus. You have to restart your comp after doing this. When rebooting, your comp should reboot faster.

Now go to internet options and delte history, temp files, and cookies. Run your spyware and or adaware. If you dont have one buy Webroot spysweeper. Run that bitch and kill all your bullshit. Then run defrag - this one takes awhile. Run this and just watch a movie and come back. Finally, get more RAM for your comp. You should running at least 1GB RAM.

If all this doesnt help...may god be with you. Sike, copy the stuff you want to save in a CD and reformat that ******. Good luck

You got it.

Iexplorer.exe - ranges from 95-99

This trojan is the culprit. To remove it, restart to Safe Mode. The file is either in Windows or in Windows\System32 folder. It may be hidden, so if you do not see it, enable "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Folders Options. Once done, restart and run free online virus scan at kaspersky.com. If it finds more infected files, save the results as a text file, go back to Safe Mode and delete those files.

Evidently, Norton Anti-Virus that you are running did not help you. Likely, it is obsolete, but it is crap anyway. Uninstall it. Buy Kaspersky Anti-Virus, the best upgrade for your computer, nothing is even close.

I just went back to look at the processes again and it is now showing an Image Name called

System Idle Process

User Name is under SYSTEM and its using 90-98 CPU while the iexplore.exe is using only 2-7 CPU

Any idea what that means?

That means the system is back to normal and 90-98% of CPU time is available.

Data - You have to forgive me, but I don't know that much about computers so I have a few questions -

Isn't the process of iexplore.exe just showing me that I am running internet explorer?

Also, how do get to the windows/system 32 folder to find the files?

-Then, how do I locate those Malware Processes that you told me to delete?

Thanks.

iexplore.exe is Internet Explorer indeed. iexplorer.exe is a malicious software masquerading as IE.

Also, how do get to the windows/system 32 folder to find the files?

system32 is one of the folders inside Windows folder. Note, Windows folder may also be called WINNT. It is usually located in the root directory of C: drive.

-Then, how do I locate those Malware Processes that you told me to delete?

Thanks.

Search C: drive for "All Files and Folders" and make sure you search including Hidden and System files and folders, these search options are available under "More advanced options".

KAV is good for both, malware and spyware, you do not need anything else. However, or should I say moreover, it won't be telling you that nonsense about cookies being "critical objects" and such that clueless users are fond of seeing after running a scan.
